Hey everyone, it sure has been a while. But not in vain I might add. Lately I’ve been exploring the more glamorous side of town, visiting both the Casino and the cool club nights of F12.
Fredsgatan 12, or F12 as we Stockholmers like to call it, is one of our more fancy restaurants in town. I’m pretty sure both Sven and Mr Meatball have written about it before. What I’m also pretty sure of is that they have both completely missed that it nightly hosts one of the cooler nightclubs in town out on the terrace and stairs of the historic building. If there’s one place to be seen by the people you want to be seen by, this is it. In other words, you can be sure to see me here! The other night I decided to let the dancing shoes have a night off and slipped into something a lot more uncomfortable to join me at the casino. This place, and concept if you like, is fairly new to us, having opened only a couple of years ago. The place is great though. Whether you like to spend a lot of money or not – the gambling and bars they have offer equal entertainment with blinking machines, glamorous card tables, and twinkling outfits. A great place to enjoy a glitzier start to any evening!
Enjoy the party.

Get ready to roll! Your favourite meatball impersonated is back with another report on eating, drinking, and enjoying life in the wonderful city of Stockholm. This time I can also reveal the true story behind Sven’s latest blog entry.
So I see Sven decided to comment on how he ruined my dinner the other day. There I was, enjoying a fantastic meal at F12, savouring the amazing flavours of my beef carpaccio with artichoke starter – when that fool comes singing and dancing down the street. You should really get a glance of the guy when he swings around the lampposts, it’s as if he thinks it’s musical-day, every day. And then he sits down, talking and talking about singing and dancing. It’s as if he doesn’t understand that I mainly participated due to the incredible possibility to star as a life-size meatball. Oh well, the food WAS excellent I have to say. After that I tried all sorts of excuses but he wouldn’t have any of it, so I agreed to have a drink with him at Café Opera. Next time I’ll make sure to eat at a place where he cannot find me. I’ll let you all know how it proceeds.

Last time I told you I was heading off to the SkyBar, and what an evening it turned out to be! Starting out on the 9th floor of the Radisson SAS Royal Viking Hotel I ended up having a fantastic dinner with Mr Meatball.
After enjoying a couple of cocktails and some great service (beaten only by the amazing view of the sunset) I realised it was dinnertime. When at the SkyBar eating is easily accomplished at Stockholm Fisk on the ground floor. However, seeing as I have had 4 dinners there in the last 3 days I decided to go somewhere else. Took a stroll down Vasagatan, and soon found myself on Fredsgatan. To my great surprise I saw Mr Meatball enjoying his supper in the window of the gourmet restaurant F12. I joined him, and we spoke of fond Stockholm the Musical memories that were every now and then interrupted by Meatball’s praise for the food. I had the Arctic Char with dill, fantastic! After that we tried their desserts. I downed the almond soufflé with rosehip, while Meatball insisted on having perfect ball-shaped scoops of vanilla ice cream. He has a sincere hang-up on spheres that fellow.
See you around in town,
Sven
